I grew up in southwest Virginia and graduated from VA Tech before marrying my beautiful wife, Angie. Despite my Hokies background, we moved to the Charlottesville/UVA area in 1994. Since then, we have been blessed with a son, Samuel, and many wonderful friends here. I enjoy being outdoors, especially if I am fishing. One my most challenging, life-changing, and faith-building experiences has been serving the people in Curva del Pino, Guatemala. Ask me about it sometime.
I began leading groups several years ago while at The Point Church in Charlottesville, and quickly found that I received great joy in seeing others grow in their Christian walk. I worked as a Group Care Pastor for about a year and a half at The Point before the Lord called me and my family to Legacy Church. Proverbs 27:17 says iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another. That is so true of the groups community. The relationships formed in groups have been a special source of encouragement and support for me.
