I have the honor to serve as the Lead Pastor of Legacy Church under the leadership of our Chief Shepherd - Jesus Christ. My calling is to proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and equip churches. My passion is redeeming the lost art of gospel storytelling, which is the story of grace found in the love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
I grew up in the mountains of West Virginia. On the first day of college, I met Lynn, and we eventually married. (I like to think Liberty gave me the degree I wanted, and God gave me the woman I needed.) We have one son, Roman, and he is an outdoorsman-in-training.
Before pastoring Legacy Church, I worked at The Point in Charlottesville and McLean Bible Church in Northern Virginia. Also, I did church planting work in Argentina, Nepal, and China. I graduated from Liberty University with a BS, MAR, and Master of Divinity. Currently I am writing my Ph.D. dissertation in ecclesial leadership for Regent University's Organizational Leadership program.
The Scripture passage that keeps me focused is Philippians 1:20 which says, “It is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.”
