groups.
Our Groups Gather throughout the week for Gospel-Centered content, connection, care, & prayer.
Here at Legacy Church, we believe in the value of community! We see rhythms of disciple-making community throughout all of Scripture. As the church has adapted over the last 2000 years, so has our discipleship strategies. One of the primary strategies that we use here at Legacy is our groups! We have many groups to browse through. We also love to identify new groups and new group leaders so if that’s you, we’d love to hear from you by emailing groups@visitlegacy.org. Also, if a group is closed due to capacity &/or the nature of the group and you’d like help with placement or more information, please email groups@visitlegacy.org.
“New Testament Christian fellowship involves the sharing of spiritual life together.”
- D. Whitney
In a group, you will express the "One Anothers" of the New Testament by serving one another, the church, and the community. Groups are the primary method for our church to disciple one another in a relational context. As the church numerically grows, we must intentionally embrace the hard work of loving one another and making disciples. Disciple-making is what leaves legacies, and Disciple-making doesn’t just happen on Sunday morning. Disciple-making happens in the trenches of life.
What are they?
Groups are essential. We believe the full life God intends for us exists within relationship with others. Groups are a great way to build meaningful and lasting friendships and support one another as we navigate life. Each Group is different. Some are just for men, women, young adults, families, etc. Some Groups are interest-based, some study a book of the Bible, some have a study based on a book of the Bible or specific topics such as marriage, parenting or others. You do not need to “get your act together” before joining a group. Groups are for everyone no matter where they are in their spiritual walk.
Community.
Authentic biblical community is very important to us, and it can take many shapes and forms, but our heart is to create a place where people can build relationships, grow in spiritual maturity and be used by God to impact others. We want to help get people connected! Let us know if you are interested in leading a Group or willing to open your home to others.
Where & When?
Groups mostly meet in homes or in public places like the church office located at the intersection of 29 & 33. They meet on different days and times throughout the week (or every other week).
Childcare?
We don’t want anything to hold you back from joining a group! Some groups offer free childcare, while others will pitch in together to cover the cost. If your group doesn’t provide the assistance you need, please reach out to us and we will do our best to help you find a way to get to group.
